PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of clearly displaying a PC image on the screen of a television apparatus, and the signal processing method of the broadcast receiver. SOLUTION: The broadcast receiver comprises a tuner part for outputting a television broadcasting signal after channel selection therefor, a demodulating part for demodulating a broadcast signal from the tuner part and outputting a video signal, a display part (24) for displaying video corresponding to a video signal from the demodulating part on the screen, and a signal processing part (20) for applying signal processing to the video signal so that the video signal can be displayed on the display part dot by dot to supply the video signal to the display part when it is decided that a prescribed condition is satisfied.
