PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive support image generator in which video images photographed with the same camera are processed appropriately and converted into video images suitable for the drive situation, and which can be presented to a driver, regardless of the open/closed state of a side mirror. SOLUTION: A drive support image generator comprises: a camera 3 attached to a case constituting an open/close side mirror mounted on a vehicle, the camera being for imaging the side part of the vehicle; a vehicle speed sensor 9 for detecting the speed of the vehicle; and an image conversion means 4 which selects a parameter for processing image data of photographed video images captured from the camera 3, on the basis of the detection signals of the vehicle speed sensor 9 and processes the image data, on the basis of the selected parameter.
