PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone capable of selecting, using the same remote control number, programs broadcasted by the same group or by the same broadcast entrepreneur even in any area all over the country. SOLUTION: A portable telephone of the present invention is characterized in comprising: a channel list registration unit which registers a first channel list associating a first broadcast entrepreneur in a prescribed area with a first remote control number of the broadcast entrepreneur; a channel list generation unit which generates a second channel list associating a second broadcast entrepreneur in an area in which a viewer attempts to view a television receiver, with a second remote control number of the broadcast entrepreneur; a collation and conversion unit for collating the registered first broadcast entrepreneur with the second broadcast entrepreneur, and converts the first remote control number into the second remote control number when the second broadcast entrepreneur and the first broadcast entrepreneur belong to the same group or are the same broadcast entrepreneur; and a transmission unit for transmitting the converted second remote control number to the television receiver.
