PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoch-making practical ring-shaped winding type inductor which can achieve a high attenuation characteristic in a wide frequency band by only one ring-shaped winding type inductor. SOLUTION: The ring-shaped winding type inductor is formed by winding a conductive wire 2 around an external circumferential portion of a troidal core 1. The cross section of the external circumferential portion of the troidal core 1 is set to a shape which is not constant but is partially deformed so that the winding diameter of the conductive wire 2 continuously wound around the external circumferential portion of the troidal core 1 is not constant but varies depending on the winding positions.
