PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method of manufacturing a press formed body capable of easily removing generated burrs when obtaining the press formed body by press-forming a forming material. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the press formed body A, the press formed body A is formed by press-forming the forming material 2. The method of manufacturing the press formed body comprises a step for forming the formed body 1 by press-forming the forming material 2 and, at the same time, forming a groove 4 on the formed body 1 by the press forming in the vicinity of a base end part of burrs 3 generated on the formed body 1, and a step for separating and removing the burrs 3 from the formed body 1 at the forming position of the groove 4 by applying the stress to the burrs 3 generated on the molded body 1 to be obtained. The burrs 3 can be clearly removed by just applying the stress to the burrs 3 to press-cut without remains of the burrs 3 being protruded. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
