PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel type game machine capable of increasing and decreasing expectations that a player has for whether the reporting of information that makes it possible to evade the operation of a state disadvantageous to the player is to be performed. SOLUTION: In the reel type game machine, the operation of the state disadvantageous to a player is performed when a prescribed pattern combination is displayed by a plurality of reels. A storage area capable of storing data indicating one or more meanings is set, and on condition that the data indicating one or more meanings are stored in the storage area, the reporting of the information for evading the display of the prescribed pattern combination is performed.
