<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnosing device of a foot brake switch for a vehicle capable of surely judging various failures with high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: When a vehicle accelerates and reaches to a certain degree of a vehicle speed V (for example, 50 km/h), a counter A1 counting a switching action of a foot brake switch is started (S24). At the point where the vehicle speed V is reduced to a parking judgment value V0 (for example, 2 km/h) together with deceleration of the vehicle, the counter A1 is compared with a predetermined value A0 (for example, once) (S36).
