PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic backlight control method for a liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: In the dynamic backlight control method for the liquid crystal display, the liquid crystal display receives frame data which includes a plurality of uncorrected grayscale codes and performs quantitative distribution analysis and numerical operation of the uncorrected grayscale codes, according to the differences in the respective grayscale levels and causes the uncorrected grayscale code to correspond to a plurality of corrected grayscale codes, on the basis of the result of the numerical operation and transmits the corrected grayscale codes to a backlight control unit and a data correction unit of the liquid crystal display device, to adjust the luminance represented by a backlight module and the luminance of the display device, so that the power consumption of the backlight module is reduced and image quality can be enhanced.
