PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent permanent curl or fold from occurring on paper even if the standby state of a device is continued for a long time and prevent a sudden conveying load from occurring during the start of paper feeding in the paper roll feeding device for conveying a rolled paper roll by holding by a pair of holding rollers installed on the lower side of the device and sandwiching by conveying rollers installed on the downstream side. SOLUTION: A roller drive means allowing paper to be delivered and wrapped is installed on one of the pair of holding rollers. The device comprises a control part for so controlling the device that during the standby state, the loosed portion of roll paper is formed between the holding rollers and the conveying rollers, and when the paper feed is started, the holding rollers are first driven and then the conveying rollers are driven.
