Strange feeling of an operator is suppressed when operation of a vehicle by the operator is assisted. The vehicle (1) has a vehicle behavior controller (20) in an ECU (10). The vehicle behavior controller (20) acquires the line-of-sight direction of the operator of the vehicle (1) by means of a line-of-sight sensor (42) for detecting the line-of-sight of the operator from the movement of the eyeball of the operator. The vehicle behavior controller (20) determines the target traveling direction of the vehicle (1) based on the line-of-sight direction of the operator thus acquired. The vehicle behavior controller (20) controls a rear wheel steering device (8) such that the front and back direction (Y) of the vehicle (1) becomes the target traveling direction of the vehicle (1).
