INSERT FOR PARTING AND CHAFERING

An insert for parting and chamfering is provided to perform paring and chamfering sequentially after being mounted to a tool. An insert for parting and chamfering comprises a divided part(10) cutting a rotating workpiece; and a chamfering part(20) chamfering the workpiece cut by the divided part. A cutting edge(11) is formed in contact with the cut matter in the leading end upper end of the divided part. One part of the chamfering part with wide width is stepped. The front surface of the stepped surface(21A,21B) has a top edge capable of chamfering the edge part of the cut surface of the cut workpiece. The divided part includes the groove formed in the upper side of the tip into the longitudinal direction and the leading end of groove is mating to the cutting edge.
