PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to prevent degradation of an MEA due to supply shortage of fuel gas without wastefully stopping or restraining power generation, in a fuel cell system.
SOLUTION: IR resistance of each cell is measured (a step S14), and a minimum cell voltage is set as a threshold voltage in accordance with the IR resistance and a load current (a step S18). For setting of the minimum cell voltage, a map data approximating IV characteristics of the cell at the time of shortage of a supply volume of fuel gas can also be utilized. In that case, the minimum cell voltage is decided based on a voltage corresponding to a load current obtained from the map data and an IR loss calculated from the IR resistance and the load current. The minimum cell voltage set is compared with an actual cell voltage (a step S22). If, as a result of comparison, the cell voltage falls below the minimum cell voltage, power generation of the fuel cell is stopped or restrained (a step S24).
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
