<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a desirable correction value for correcting a conveyance error of a conveyance roller according to a size of a recording medium even when the conveyance error depending on eccentricity of the roller by an amount of eccentricity or a state of eccentricity differs along the longitudinal direction of the roller. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of test patterns are formed along the longitudinal direction of the roller.
