PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging instrument which permits images to be generated by a smaller data amount by selectively using data from a data collecting RF coil, and an RF coil system. SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging instrument 1 has at least an RF coil and data processing means. The RF coil generates attribute information and mean while receives nuclear resonance signals and sends received nuclear resonance signals and the attribute information by radio. The data processing means receives the nuclear resonance signals and attribute information sent by radio and generates image data based on the nuclear resonance signals in accordance with the attribute information.
