PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To report the quantity of radio resources to be used for a control channel. SOLUTION: A base station apparatus to be used in a mobile communication system wherein an OFDM scheme is applied to a downlink, comprises: a scheduler that allocates a radio resource to user equipment for each sub-frame; a control channel generating means which generates a control channel for notifying the user equipment of the result of scheduling by the scheduler; and a mapping means for mapping the control channel and a data channel. Control information includes information indicating the quantity of radio resources to be used for the control channel, and the mapping means multiplexes the information indicating the quantity of radio resources to be used for the control channel, to a first OFDM symbol.
