PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyolefin composition in which a particulate composition containing a compound (1) and a metallic soap such as calcium stearate is fully dispersed. SOLUTION: The method for producing the polyolefin composition is one comprising melt-kneading a particulate composition (A) containing a compound represented by formula (1) and a metallic soap and a particulate polyolefin, wherein the ratio (a/b) is adjusted to 3/1-1/3 (wherein (a) is an average particle diameter of (A), and (b) is an average particle diameter of (B)). In formula (1), R<SB>1</SB>is a 1-8C alkyl group; X is a 1-18C n-hydroxy alcohol residue which may contain a hetero atom and/or a cyclic group; and n is an integer of 2 or 4.
