PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid for a packaging container which improves pressure resistance and preventing a blow-off even when the pressure inside a can is abnormally increased to cause a buckling. SOLUTION: The lid 1 for the packaging container is formed such that, with respect to virtual lines L1 and L2 passing through the center O of the lid 1 at an angle of 45 degrees with respect to the rolling direction of an aluminum alloy plate, a panel height H in the outer edge portion on the virtual lines L1 and L2 is set to H45; and with respect to virtual lines X and Y passing through the center O of the lid 1 at an angle of 90 degrees with respect to the rolling direction and in parallel with the rolling direction, respectively, the panel height H in the outer edge portion on the virtual lines X and Y is set to H90; and in this condition, H45>H90 is satisfied, and the panel height H is continuously lower from the outer edge portion on the virtual lines L1 and L2 at 45 degrees from the rolling direction toward the outer edge portion on the virtual lines X and Y at 90 degrees from the rolling direction and in parallel with the rolling direction, respectively.
