In an ignition contact breaker the movable contact assembly comprises a contact 15 mounted on the end of a leaf spring 16 which urges it towards a fixed contact (not shown), and an insulating member 11, which provides support and has a cam-follower heel portion 12, has a passage therethrough in which the spring 16 is engaged with a snap fit. The passage has basically the same cross-section as the spring 16, but is relieved at 17 and 18 to allow the riveted contact 15 to pass through during assembly. Resilient inclined tags 19 and 21 lock the member 11 in position on the spring 16. A resilient bridging piece (not shown) may be moulded integral with arms 13 to urge them towards one another when the opening 14 receives a pivot post. |
