A metal-closed switch gear in which an electrical machine is housed inside a box (1) having an inlet (4) and an outlet (18). Inside the casing part of the box (1) where the inlet (4) is bored, an intra-board partition plate (17) functioning as a ventilating partition plate having a vent hole (19) opposed to the inlet (4) is arranged apart from the casing part so that the intra-board partition plate (17) may suppress discharging of a high-temperature ark gas from the inlet (4) to the outside in occurrence of a short circuit in a cable chamber (14) inside the box (1).
