PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform more appropriate saturation correction in accordance with the color temperature and an object of an image. SOLUTION: This image processing device has an imaging element (103) for acquiring image data; a determining means (106) for determining whether the color temperature of an image represented by the image data is within the range of a preset color temperature; a face detecting part (126) for detecting an image area representing a preset object from the image represented by the image data; and a correcting means (106) for correcting the saturation of the image data by using parameters different between in the image area and in areas other than the image area when the color temperature is within the range of the preset color temperature and when the image area is detected.
