PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve color reproductivity by calculating an adaptation white point, in matching with the combination of devices of color matching objects. SOLUTION: A user instruction indicating respective white points of input and output devices, color reproductivity and types of the devices, and respective observation conditions of the input and output device sides is inputted (S202 to S208). A calculation method, based on the white points and the types of the input and output devices, calculates an adaption white point (S209 and S210). A color value, indicating the color reproductivity of the input and output devices, is converted into a color value of uniform color space on the basis of the white points, the adaptation white point and the observation conditions (S211 and S212). Then, a profile for performing color processing of image data of the input device into image data of the output device is created, on the basis of the color value of the uniform color space (S213).
