PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radio communication equipment and a signal processing method for shortening the measuring time of the fading speed (Doppler frequency) of a radio signal received from the radio communication terminal when the radio communication terminal moves at a high speed, and for further improving the signal processing such as adaptive array control. SOLUTION: A radio base station 100 is provided with fading speed measuring parts 103a to 103n for measuring the fading speeds of a radio signal received by each of antenna elements 101a to 101n for every antenna element; and a reference signal calculation part 105 for outputting a reference signal to be used for the adaptive control of the directivity of the array antenna 101 by the signal processing part 107. The reference signal calculation part 105 outputs a reference signal on the basis of the plurality of fading speeds measured by the fading speed measuring parts 103a to 103n.
