PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal transmission quality evaluation device capable of objectively performing signal transmission quality evaluation, using a music signal, that a human's acoustic feeling and its tendency match. SOLUTION: The signal transmission quality evaluation device includes a signal separation section which receives a measured signal 211 to be evaluated and a reference signal 212 and separates the measured signal 211 into a noise signal 213 and a transmission content signal 214 using the reference signal 212, a noise level calculation section 203 which calculates a noise level value 215 based upon the noise signal 213, a noise auditory sense value conversion section 205 which converts the noise level value 215 into a noise level auditory sense value 217 matched with human's auditory sense characteristics, a physical amount calculation section 103 which calculates a predetermined physical value 115 based upon the transmission content signal 214, an auditory sense value conversion section 104 which converts the predetermined physical value 115 into a predetermined auditory sense value 116 matched with the tendency of the human's auditory sense characteristics, a total output calculation section 106 which calculates a total output value 118 being a quality evaluation index from the noise level auditory sense value 217 and predetermined auditory sense value 116.
