PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilator, achieving large-capacity ventilation, having excellent water tightness and air tightness, and having excellent design nature from the interior side. SOLUTION: An opening 4 at the central part of a ventilating stile 5 is formed by connecting an interior side opening 4a formed on the inside of the interior side opening edge and an exterior side opening 4b formed on the inside of an exterior side opening edge smaller than the interior side opening edge to each other in the interior-exterior direction. The periphery of each interior side surface of the interior side opening edge and the exterior side opening edge is provided with an interior side tight material 24 and an exterior side tight material 25. In closing the opening 4, the lid stile 6 is abutted on the exterior side tight material 25 and the interior side tight material 24, and the outer peripheral edge of the lid stile 6 is overlaid on the interior side surface of the ventilating stile 6.
