PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystallized glass which exhibits an excellent surface property satisfactorily corresponding to a ramp load system for high density recording in any of a horizontal magnetic recording system and a perpendicular magnetic recording system, high strength durable to high speed rotation and shocks, both of heat expansion property and heat resistance suitable with each drive component, a low melting point and an excellent productivity. SOLUTION: The crystallized glass contains an SiO<SB>2</SB>component, an Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>component and a Li<SB>2</SB>O component, characterized in that, on the basis of oxide, a sum of SiO<SB>2</SB>and Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>by mass% is less than 77% and a mass% ratio of Li<SB>2</SB>O to the sum of the SiO<SB>2</SB>component and the Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>component, that is, Li<SB>2</SB>O/(SiO<SB>2</SB>+ Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>) is more than 0.064, and in that the glass contains at least one crystalline phase selected from amongβ-quartz,β-quartz solid solution,β-eucryptite,β-eucryptite solid solution,β-spodumene andβ-spodumene solid solution.
