ARTIFICIAL MEDIUM, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND ANTENNA DEVICE

There is provided an artificial medium in which two or more conducting planes each having a two-dimensional periodic array of conductive elements are disposed in a thickness direction. When an electromagnetic wave propagating in the thickness direction is made incident, a current induced by the electromagnetic wave increases at an operation frequency and a current loop is formed in a plane in parallel with the thickness direction.
