MECHANICAL SNAP-ACTION STABILISER FOR SHUTTERS AND DOORS

Subject: a system for the permanent connection and stabilization of shutters and doors which system is manufactured from two tough plastic pieces interconnected by snap-action.Composition: a) a rectangular wall base (fig. A) firmly screwed on the wall or other stable surface and bearing the spherical closure element 5; b) a rectangular shutter or door base (fig. B) firmly screwed on the shutter or the door and bearing the flexible and perforated semi-cylindrical closure element 9. Screws inserted into holes formed on the rectangular bases achieve the bases connection. The latch-mode operation of both subsidiary closure elements 5&9 is ensured by the right and accurate alignment of these last. The co-operation of both closure elements is obtained by slight pressure of the spherical closure element into the body of the aligned semi-cylindrical one while the resilient elastic rims-notches get slightly withdrawn and mutually closed by snap action. After snapping, the rims-notches come back to their initial closed position. Easy and unhindered operation is ensured in condition that the alignment specifications are respected.
