<p>In an electric drive system including an engine, a generator, a transducer and an electric motor which are arranged in series and in a series type of hybrid drive system in which a capacitor is used in the electric drive system, driving force at the time of failure of the transducer is ensured, and fuel consumption of the engine and exhaust gas in use other than the time of failure is improved, and the line-up number of the generators and the electric motors is reduced in the case where a moving object depending on the operating speed is produced. A function of determining the operating speed of the moving object is provided and the pole number of the generator and the pole number of the electric motor can be switched respectively. When it is determined that the moving object is operating at operating speed, the generator and the electric motor are directly connected through a bypass section and the pole number of the generator and the pole number of the electric motor are switched depending on the operating speed to operate.</p> |
