<p>The present invention concerns a conveyor system for transporting vulnerable products like fruit, for example apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, melons, or suchlike, in a transport direction T, comprising at least two endless conveyors, a first endless conveyor with first carrier units at a first pitch, and a second endless conveyor, having cuplike carriers the one behind the other at a second predetermined pitch, such carriers are in a transport position during transport, and are in a release position during transferring said product from said second conveyor to an output device, wherein in a transition zone said products are transferred from the first to the second conveyor, wherein the carrier units of said first conveyor comprise two carrier unit halves which in said transition zone, while accompanying the second conveyor, diverge at said downstream end in a substantially horizontal plane.</p> |
