PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a modulation class from being set higher than is necessary, when user data to be transmitted to communication destination equipment do not exist, or user data pieces to be transmitted are very few. SOLUTION: This radio communication method using radio communication equipment for selecting a modulation class, according to propagation path quality is provided with steps S11A and S11A for detecting the data quantity of user data to be transmitted to the communication-destination equipment; steps S12A and S12B for determining whether detected data quantity is the prescribed data quantity or smaller; and steps S13A and S13B for selecting the modulation class, corresponding to the prescribed data quantity when it is determined that the detected data quantity is smaller than the prescribed data quantity.
