PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an "information system" suppressing the limitation of functions caused by inconsistency with functions of a mobile phone. SOLUTION: For example, three mobile phones A, B, and C are carried in a vehicle, wherein the mobile phone A is a model having a matching rate of 100 to an in-vehicle system, the mobile phone B is a model having a matching rate of 50 to the in-vehicle system, and the mobile phone C is a model having a matching rate of 90 to the in-vehicle system. When detecting the mobile phones A, B, and C as connectable mobile phones 2 (S41, S42), the in-vehicle system 100 discriminates models of the respective mobile phones 2, imparts priority levels to the respective mobile phones 2 according to matching rates of the respective mobile phones 2 determined according to the models to the in-vehicle system 100 to attempt to authenticate them in the order of the priority levels (A, C, B) (S46, S47), and selects the mobile phone C which is successfully authenticated first (S48) as the mobile phone 2 to be used for subsequent communication.
