PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cast-coated paper which is excellent in operability, coated paper quality and printing suitability and has an action for decomposing injurious substances with light. SOLUTION: This cast-coated paper produced by disposing a cast coated layer consisting mainly of a pigment and an adhesive on base paper, and then pressure-contacting and drying the cast coated layer in the wet state with a heated mirror drum surface to finish, contains powdery titanium dioxide having a photocatalystic action in the cast coated layer in an amount of 1-30 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the pigment and using, as the powdery titanium dioxide, a mixture of the pigment with the powdery titanium dioxide in a preliminary silica sol or alumina sol wherein the total content of both the substances is 45-60 wt.%.
