PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material which can secure a sufficient sealing performance, and also is excellent in slidableness and seizure preventiveness. SOLUTION: The sealing material is formed by making a polytetrafluoroethylene porous film, which is formed by elongating an unbaked body or a half-baked body of polytetrafluoroethylene in biaxial directions, overlie the surface of the body of the sealing material to be formed from elastomer.
