The invention relates to a security document, such as a bill (10), certificate or identity document, comprises a security feature on a flexible substrate, said feature containing an electrically activatable indicator element (16, 18). Said element is activated when the substrate is folded and the folded parts slide over each other. The electrical energy required for the activation of the indicator element is made available by the interaction of the parts of the substrate that slide over each other. Suitable indicator elements are especially LCD elements, because they require little power. The required voltage at minimum current strength can be generated by means of an electrodynamic or electrostatic effect. |
