A USB type security module is provided to improving a security reliability by storing encrypted official authentication password at the USB, and authenticating by connecting to the official authentication server when it is requested. One time password generating unit(12) is placed on a nand fresh memory or HSM chip, and stores a program for generating one time password needed for security authentication. An official authentication storage(14) is positioned at one side of the HSM chip, and stores the certificate required for the security. An information storage unit(16) for one time password production is positioned in the HSM chip, and stores the personal ID which is the necessary information, and the serial number of the security module and personal password for one time password generation. A control program storage(15) is positioned in the HSM chip, and has the necessary control program in the program for encoding and decoding. USB HUB connects the nan fresh memory and HSM chip.
