<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize moisture balance between both electrodes with restraint of complication of a system structure. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell includes a plurality of electrolyte layers equipped with a pair of electrodes consisting of an anode and a cathode on the surface, as well as a gas separator 30 arranged between adjacent electrolyte layers, and forming a gas flow channel each against the anode on one of the adjacent electrolyte layers, and against the cathode on the other electrolyte layer. The gas separator 30 includes there inside a first coolant flow channel formed at an anode side and a second coolant flow channel formed at a cathode side.
