<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rhythm detector capable of detecting a rhythm pattern from any musical instrument. <P>SOLUTION: A power spectrum of each sound scale tone for each time period is calculated from a sound signal which is input to an input section 10a by a sound scale tone power detection section 20a. A sum of power increment values which indicates a whole sound change degree for each frame is calculated by summing up the power increment value of each sound scale tone for each frame, for all sound scale tones, by a power increase value calculation section 30a. An average tempo and a position of each beat are detected from the sum of power increment values which indicates a whole sound change degree for each frame, by a beat detection section 40a. In a rhythm pattern determination section 90a, correlation of a rhythm extraction parameter which is finally extracted from an input sound signal, and a plurality of rhythm extraction parameter read from a rhythm extraction parameter storing section 80a, is calculated, and the rhythm of the largest correlation is determined as a rhythm pattern of an input sound signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
