PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the aperture ratio of an electrooptical device such as a liquid crystal device. SOLUTION: A relay layer 93 has a projection part 93a projected from a non-aperture region to an aperture region, so that the area of the aperture region is narrowed by the projected area of the projection part 93a to the aperture region as compared with a case having no projection part 93a. However, by projecting the projection part 93a from a part a region end 190 (e.g. the center of the region end 190) to the aperture region, the width of the non-aperture region of which the boundary with the aperture region is constituted by other portions excluding the center of the region end 190 out of the region end 190 can be narrowed along the X direction and the aperture ratio can be enhanced.
