PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split core for motor having a large magnetic path area and excellent in winding workability of winding. SOLUTION: The split core 10 has a columnar tooth 11, and a yoke 12 projecting from the outer circumferential surface over the entire circumference of the tooth 11. On the coil side, the split core 10 is provided with portions 14 projecting from the yoke 12 toward the tooth side. The projection 14 has a triangular end face 14e when viewed from the coil end side, a rectangular side face 14s when viewed from the coil side and is flush with the coil side face 12s of the yoke 12, and a face 14o intersecting the coil side face 11s of the tooth 11 perpendicularly. The split core 10 has a large magnetic path area because it is provided with the side faces 14s. The projection 14 ranges from one coil end face 11e to the other coil end face 11e of the tooth 11.
