PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner deterioration resulting from printing in a monochrome color mode in a full-color image forming apparatus with two paths. SOLUTION: When printing is carried out in the monochrome color mode, all developing units disposed around a photoreceptor drum that is not used for image formation are separated from the photoreceptor drum.
