PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detecting device mainly used for detecting a rotation angle of automobile steering or the like, capable of surely detecting rotation angle with no error with simple constitution. SOLUTION: A case 18 enclosing a rotation body 1, a first detecting body 2, a second detecting body 3, etc. is formed with three or more elongate holes 18B, 18C, 18D facing the rotational center of the rotation body 1. Consequently, even when dimensional changes of components occur due to heat in use under high temperature, the three elongate holes can prevent dislocation from a held rotating connector 12 or the like to provide the rotation angle detecting device 20 capable of surely detecting the rotation angle with no error with simple constitution.
