PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eraser having an improved erasability for use in an electronic blackboard device, a whiteboard or the like having a writing surface wherefrom the ink applied by a marker is hard to erase. SOLUTION: The eraser has a main body case, an internal case body which has a plurality of projections provided in a straight line and is disposed inside the main body case with the projections exposed, and a melamine foam sheet which is so disposed as to cover the projections of the internal case.
