<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological material and a mineralized biological material, more excellent than conventional materials, in which mineralized cartilaginous tissue component is reinforced and to provide a method for producing the biological material and to provide a method or the like for using the biological material. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention provides an in vitro culture system in which deep articular cartilage of articular cartilage and adjacent calcified cartilaginous region are imitated, and the mineralized biological material characterized by having a biochemical composition and physiological organization substantially similar to the deep and contiguous calcified cartilage zones of articular cartilage found in animals in vivo. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
