PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container for lapping capable of effectively preventing the inward deformation of side plates of the container when the paper container is lapped, properly maintaining its outer appearance, being properly lapped, and effectively preventing damage to stored contents in the case of the deformation of the side plates. SOLUTION: The paper container for lapping has a rectangular bottom plate 2 and four side plates 3 to 6 extending upward from four sides of the bottom plate 2, and has a storage section 7 defined by the bottom plate 2 and four side plates 3 to 6 so as to be open at the top. The container is provided with lap fastening plates 13 formed so as to be bent down from upper edges of a pair of the opposite side plates 3 and 5 and superposed on external faces of the corresponding side plates 3 and 5.
