PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid actuation type variable winning device capable of retaining an open state of a ball guiding piece without energizing it for a long time and capable of facilitating its control. SOLUTION: The solenoid actuation type variable winning device advances or retreats a plunger by exciting a solenoid 22, and actuates the ball guiding piece 4b by the actuation of the plunger to vary a game ball into an easy-to-win state or a hard-to-win state, wherein the winning device includes a latch mechanism for mechanically retaining the plunger even after the demagnetization of the solenoid. The latch mechanism mechanically retains the plunger in the advance state or the retreat state against the elasticity of a spring member according to the rotation state of a rotor after the demagnetization of the solenoid.
