<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-glare film which is used for an image display device, such as a liquid crystal display (LCD), and which is improved in the anti-glare property of the film and also adhesion of a transparent film base material and a hard coat layer, and is excellent in optical characteristics satisfying anti-glare property and visibility with proper balance, a hard coating property after durable preservation, stability of the coating liquid, productivity and cost performance, to provide a method for manufacturing the anti-glare film, and to provide a polarizing plate and, to provide a display device. <P>SOLUTION: In the anti-glare film, the hard coat layer is disposed on a surface of the transparent film base, having a projecting and recessing part resulting from debossing with coating; a projecting and recessing part resulting from debossing is formed on the surface of he hard coat layer; further a surface layer having protruding structured portions, formed by ejecting liquid drops of a curable resin composition, is arranged on the surface of the hard coat layer, wherein arithmetic average roughness Ra1 of the transparent film base surface is in 0.05-5 μm range; and arithmetic average roughness Ra2 of the hard coat layer surface is in 0.05-5 μm range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
