<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display and a television set which are capable of easily preventing creases of an optical sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display includes: a liquid crystal panel; a light source provided on a surface disposed so as to face the rear face of the liquid crystal panel with a prescribed distance between them; and an optical sheet suspended in front of the light source. The optical sheet is inclined at a tilt angle corresponding to the self-weight of the optical sheet, with respect to the rear face of the liquid crystal panel so that the optical sheet becomes closer to the liquid crystal panel from the top end toward the bottom end of the rear face of the liquid crystal panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
