PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mask holder for frequency adjustment which prevents metal waste from attaching to a crystal vibrating element during adjusting the frequency of the crystal vibrating element. SOLUTION: In the mask holding for frequency adjustment in which the crystal vibrating element having an exciting electrode is overlaid on a carrying holder for fixing a container body mounted in a recessed space to a housing part to be used, a direction in which the recessed space of the container body opens is the same as a direction in which the housing part opens, mask side recessed parts being as large as or larger than openings of container bodies are formed on the container body side of a plate-like mask main body, and a through hole of an external mask side along the outer circumference of the exciting electrode form in the crystal vibrating element is formed inside a mask side recessed part.
