PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing device equipped with an object side telecentric optical system capable of photographing with higher image quality than hitherto. SOLUTION: This photographing device is equipped with a field lens 4 to be installed oppositely to the surface of a microplate 1, for photographing cells stored in each well 11, aiming at the microplate 1 having a plurality of wells 11 formed on its surface. The field lens 4 wherein a photographing optical system is used as the object side telecentric is constituted by arraying a plurality of lens elements 41 on a plane orthogonal to its optical axis, and a boundary between mutually adjacent lens elements 41, 41 is faced to a partition wall 12 between mutually adjacent wells 11, 11 on the microplate 1 on a line parallel to the optical axis.
