PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart a meaning to a numerical value displayed by a measuring apparatus, and to secure reliability, by clarifying a calibration route (traceability to a national standard) of the measuring apparatus, and by estimating a center value of measured values and uncertainty carried by the measured values. SOLUTION: Calibration of a measurement standard with a built-in measuring apparatus is performed by requesting it to a high-grate calibration institution. The measuring apparatus has a two-way communication function, and has a function for receiving remote calibration by the high-grate calibration institution, and therefor this method has a function for calibrating the measurement standard with the built-in measuring apparatus by remote calibration.
